Art Born From Passion and Experience

My creative path began in the heartland of Iowa, shaped by the influence of a family of artists. Though art was always a part of me, I chose a different path early on—devoting myself to teaching and coaching instead of pursuing art professionally. After spending four decades as a teacher and coach, I felt the pull to return to my roots and to share my story through art.

My transition from teaching to creating art has been a deeply personal and enriching journey. My art is shaped by a lifetime of varied experiences—growing up in the Midwest, teaching science, exploring the world, losing a spouse, and being surrounded by a creative family. It’s where curiosity meets expression and where I’m always challenging myself to push the boundaries of creativity.
